Responsibilities: Provide speech and language evaluations for infants, preschoolers, outpatients, homebound patients, and vocational consumers, as well as plan, organize, and conduct the speech and language program for the agency. Serve as consultant and trainer to day programs for instruction and training for language, speech, and therapeutic activities. Conduct diagnostic speech and language screenings and evaluations of all individuals referred for speech-language evaluations in a timely manner. Conduct re-evaluations of individuals on a regular basis, as recommended. Analyze evaluation results, problem solve, and make decisions and recommendations regarding appropriate treatment. Schedule individual and group therapy sessions according to individual needs and conduct therapy as indicated. Supervise speech therapy aide and/or intern(s) as assigned. Create, provide, or suggest instructional materials/methods for teachers. Plan and conduct in-service training for other program staff, parents, or others as necessary and requested. Effectively communicate with and assist program staff in a timely fashion, regarding pertinent problems or changes noted in an individual. Prepare reports of screenings, evaluations, re-evaluations, and staffings or other sources as needed. Maintain accurate and timely records of services provided for statistical and billing purposes. Maintain current progress notes and monthly physician's plan of treatments. Assist with IEP and IFSP development. Must have full physical dexterity and agility or be able to independently position self and perform all movements required for effective treatment of each individual. Physical activities may include but not limited to: frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, and squatting. Depending on person served, must be able to carry, lift, push or pull 25-50 pounds routinely with occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds utilizing appropriate body mechanic techniques and/or equipment provided.

Minimum qualifications:
• Must have at least a Master's degree in speech and language therapy.
• Must be ready to complete or have completed the Clinical Fellowship Year or have at least applied for the Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA.
• Must be licensed or in the process of applying for licensure by the Indiana Board of Examiners in Speech Pathology and Audiology.
• Must possess a customer service personality and have the ability to establish and maintain rapport with staff and patients.
• Must possess or be capable of obtaining CPR and first aid certification annually and perform as necessary.
