Hourly wage: $9.50-$10.00
Responsibilities: Assist Human Resources department with a variety of functions including: maintenance of employee hardcopy files; application logging; clerical and project support; telephone assistance; scanning of terminated employee files; copying and mailings; and providing initial department contact for external and internal customers. Provides clerical support to other administrative staff. Maintain accurate personnel files by: auditing files for completeness; filing documentation in a timely manner; scanning terminated employee files periodically; checking scanned files for accuracy. Prepare and scan purged application files for storage according to AAP guidelines. Upload scanned files to discs. Provide initial response to external and internal requests for HR information. Resolve issues and/or forward requests to other HR staff members as needed.
Prepare and process new employee information and paperwork following orientation. Verify receipt of required forms and documentation. Respond to telephone inquiries regarding open positions and application status. Process staff masters and send corresponding letters and notices as needed. Send 90-day evaluation reminders to supervisors. Track and ensure that 90-day evaluations are being completed in a timely manner. Maintain online application database. Ensure that application status and notes are accurately marked. Distribute and track customer service surveys. Open and distribute departmental mail. Complete verification of experience requests, including requested letters from employees. Assist Director of Human Resources with Wellness Program and maintain wellness boards. Assist with scheduling interviews for first interviews conducted by the Human Resources Staff. Create and maintain current and adequate supply of personnel policy manuals as needed. Assist all HR staff with answering of telephones, copy work, office tasks, mailings, references and projects as requested. Provide secretarial support to Director and Human Resources Department.
Minimum qualifications: High School Diploma required. Experience with the public preferred.
Must have proficient communication skills, both oral and written. Word Processing experience
preferred. Must be able to perform such functions as operate a computer, maintain professional
demeanor when interacting with internal and external customers, access existing records storage,
and lifting up to 25 pounds.
