Responsible for sales and marketing efforts as well as contract recruitment for the Industrial division and functions as a liaison between the customer and BVI staff. Responsible for all areas of production and work assignments relating to production staff. Responsible for the day-to-day operations of fulfilling orders in an efficient, accurate method. Manage activities related to the analysis, execution, control, and evaluation of contracts & projects for Bona Vista Industries. Plan and implement improvements to internal and external sales systems and processes. Develop metrics and key performance indicators (KPI) for sales processes. Responsible for the implementation and execution of process management and ensuring customer satisfaction. Produce and effectively communicate department productivity goals and sales goals to ensure Industrial Operations achieves monthly budgeted goal attainment. Include productivity, operational problems, forecasting workload and sales as well as scheduling. Maintain records, reports, process documentation, customer service data and training/safety records to ensure quality products are delivered in a timely manner. Communicate department/company standards, expectations, goals, changes and policies to team members. Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes, such as customer service, sales and accounting. Direct the Operations department to ensure achievement of cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness of contract requirements. Monitor and create methods to make the production process more efficient. Analyze production data and educate executive management team on production data, trends and staffing issues in an effort to ensure performance and sales goals are met. Monitor the development of short and long-range planning for the implementation of a comprehensive Industrial Marketing Plan to increase revenue and to ensure the success and continuity of consolidated industrial cost centers. Monitor the planning and development of new revenue streams and/or prime products to maximize growth of the Industrial Operations division. Monitor and assist sales and management teams to ensure program and contract performance is in accordance with all applicable federal, state, local, OSHA, Vocational Rehabilitation and ISO/QS9001-2008, as well as CARF standards and agency policies and procedures. Supervise trucking personnel and all ancillary duties associated with the vehicles and equipment. Provide Assistance with contract utilization and bidding on potential and existing jobs including time studies, job set up, tooling, and technical issues. Monitor daily production demands, ensuring on-time delivery. Monitor Kanban levels on finished goods, ensuring there are no overages. Ensure that contract performance is in compliance to customer and ISO requirements. Ensure that jobs are set up in accordance to time study analyses and DOL guidelines. Responsible for maintaining and cooperating with the Workers Compensation light-duty and return to work program. Supervise and evaluate systems and production staff for accuracy and efficiency of processes. Monitor Production Workers and Supervisors, ensuring that they are meeting industrial norms and quality standards. Create and maintain a positive atmosphere which promotes the team approach to solutions, good morale, open communication between staff and supervision, and positive supplier and customer relationships. Participate in ISO auditing of QMS. Ensure that employees follow all departmental and agency policies as well as state and federal laws. Promote philosophies, generate team spirit, and create and maintain an environment that fosters employee, supplier, and customer satisfaction, and maximizes productivity and profitability. Must be physically capable of moving up to 20 pounds and occasionally lifting and/or carrying small items. Also must be capable of performing such tasks as filing, reaching, handling, grasping, talking, and listening. Maintain the confidentiality of persons served. Perform other duties as requested. Attend conferences, workshop, or other trainings as authorized or required. Display patience in all situations involving persons served. Speak in an even, positive and personable tone of voice when conversing. Make recommendations for a safe environment for all staff. Promote staff development and training among department employees and reward creative thinking. Occasional high noise levels may require the use of protective hearing equipment. Moderate exposure to fumes, oils, exhaust, paint, and other industrial odors which may require the use of a mask. Minimal exposure to body fluids or other contaminated waste or fluids. Some may require the use of gloves. Must be able to climb stairs to reach work areas currently without elevator access.
Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Administration, or marketing preferred. Minimum of four years experience in manufacturing, inventory management and purchasing in an industrial setting required. Must possess excellent communication skills both written and oral, and strong teamwork skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Work and Excel. Must have the ability to successfully work in both independent and group settings. Must have the ability to effectively communicate during a crisis situation. Must possess or be able to obtain CPR and first aid.
